Course Description:
This class is designed to introduce students to important topics in Management Mathematics such as linear equations, matrix algebra, linear programming, financial mathematics, logic, sets and counting, Markov systems, and etc. The students will learn the theorems and algorithms used in the numerical computation of this course. Management Mathematics is also a subject of a wide variety of real-life applications. The student will be trained to apply mathematics to many of these applications during the class final presentation.

Grading: Grades will be based on the following percentages
Homework 10%
Project 10%
Mid-term 40%
Final 40%

Homework: Homework will be assigned each week through the term and will be due the following week. No late homework will be accepted. Students must turn in their own homework.

Project: Form each group with 5 to 8 persons. Select a case from the class website that could be solved by the techniques taught in this class. Prepare a 15 minutes presentation. Turn in a 3 to 5 pages report through E-mail. The report will be due the day of the presentation.

Exams: Both Mid-term and Final exams will be in-class and open-book. Calculators are welcome. No discussion is allowed in exams. Cheating will result in severe penalty. Both exams will last for three hours.
